Anita Okoye, ex-wife of Paul Okoye has said that she is delighted that she did not take sides during the drama that caused a rift between her husband and his twin brother Peter Okoye.
Anita said this in an Instagram post on Thursday while celebrating the duo’s 40th birthday. She also stated that getting back together was the best birthday present they have received from each other.
“Dem be 1 no be 2!! Happy Birthday, Ejima! This is best birthday present either of you could receive!. Thank you for letting me have such a great relationship with both of you independent of your rift…I am delighted I didn’t let your coconut heads let me choose sides,” she wrote in parts.
Speaking further, Anita cautioned against getting involved in social media as the opinion of other people does not matter.
“There’s a lesson here -Do not EVER involve yourself in a tiff that doesn’t concern you and don’t let social media and the opinion of those who do not matter define your situation! Let God guide you! Love Wins!” she concluded.
During their birthday in 2018, after they had parted ways the previous year, the Okoye wives celebrated their husbands amid the rift going on at the time. Paul and Peter however ignored each other.
Things got so bad that Paul and Jude their brother and former manager did not condole with Peter when he lost his father-in-law Oladipo Omotayo in December 2020 and were absent at the funeral in February.
News of their reconciliation made headlines in November 2021 after the duo followed each other back on Instagram.
