Nollywood actress and filmmaker, Evia Simon, has declared that she doesn’t want to be defined by her curves and sex appeal.
In an interview with TNG published on Tuesday, the Unbreak actress stated that she has much to offer than just being curvy as the media portray her to be
“I don’t want people to define me by my curves or sex appeal. However, I have discovered that no matter how I try not to talk about it, the media still find a way to accentuate that part in interviews or blog posts.
“I am not just about being curvy, I am also talented. I have a great personality, I am a humanitarian who desires to make an impact and help orphans like myself.”
Speaking on why she decided to become a filmmaker, Evia said filmmaking gives her a platform to grow her craft.
“I didn’t just delve into film-making but it’s a plus to my acting career. It also provides an avenue to help grow my career. I cannot make films without partaking in them.
The way the industry is today, it is hard for producers to give roles except you are a known face. Making my own films gives me a good platform to prove myself to other filmmakers.”
