On Saturday, the artiste had taken to her X page to announce her sexuality, writing, “I’m actually a lesbian. Can’t hide it anymore.”
The post quickly sparked mixed reactions, with some users accusing her of promoting “abnormality” and influencing teenagers negatively.
A critic commented, “Came to a space where we have teenagers, and you’re portraying abnormality. If you’re gay or lesbian, keep it to yourself.”
Another user speculated the announcement was a publicity stunt, writing, “Whatever project you want to drop, make sure it’s a bloody hit, if not, there might not be another chance.”
Hours later, Bloody Civilian retracted her statement, explaining the context.
She tweeted, “I’m not a lesbian. I was on a game show. But still hold your woman tight sha.”
