Music executive Ubi Franklin has clarified his role with Afrobeats star Davido, denying claims that he serves as the singer’s assistant or nanny.
Responding to a comment on X, Ubi clarified that he works as a business administrator for Davido, leveraging his expertise and qualifications in the role.
According to him, Davido refers to him as “#thesolutionist,” a nickname that highlights his problem-solving abilities.
“Davido is Africa’s biggest artiste and owner of DMW,” Ubi said.
“If you look deeply, he is more influential than a governor of many states you worship. The only thing he doesn’t have is a government budget.”
Ubi stressed that his involvement with Davido’s brand is purely professional, noting that his focus is on the business aspects of the singer’s operations.
“Let me state this clearly: I am not his PA or nanny, as some of you have tried to taunt me with. I have the qualifications and experience to handle the job, and that’s what I’ll always do,” he wrote.
He also praised Davido’s assistants, describing them as individuals who live enviable lives wearing top designer brands, making investments, and gaining experiences that money cannot buy.
The CEO of Made Men Music Group (MMMG) further revealed plans to relaunch the label early next year, promising to bring his decades-long experience in the industry to the table.
