Emmanuella Ropo, the lady in the centre of renewed interest in the personal life of the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, has said “there is nothing true” about reports that she is the new wife of the monarch.
Oba Ogunwusi’s marriage to former Olori Wuraola, now Zaynab Otiti Obanor, officially ended last month.
Even before the ex-queen declared in an Instagram post that “the Ooni and I are no more”, there had been reports online that a new wife had been brought into the palace.

One of the women mentioned is Ropo whose picture with the traditional ruler recently went viral.
But speaking in an interview with FlipTV, the lady who is said to have been married twice in the past, said a friend informed her about the stories making the rounds about her alleged affair with Oba Ogunwusi.
She said the picture of her and the king was taken when former President Olusegun Obasanjo’s son, Olajuwon, got married to Tolulope, the daughter of Kessington Adebutu, popularly known as Baba Ijebu, in May.
Blaming her detractors for trying to malign her, Ropo also spoke on her failed romance and other issues.
