‘Show’ singer, Victoria Kimani, on Wednesday addressed issues that border on the society not respecting female entertainers.
The Chocolate City diva expressed that “people need to start respecting female entertainers , presenters, actors, artists, models, dancers, business women , pr, managers , pa’s, singers, stylists , dj’s , designers…and generally all positions in the entertainment field in Africa”.
She added that “The amount of negativity, rumours, gossip, assumptions, judgement, hypocrisy, threats and over all evil eye that is pointed towards women in the industry” is very uncalled for.
Establishing a stand, Kimani voiced, “just because I’m a female doesn’t mean I work for free!! NO! Just because I’m a business woman with standards doesn’t make me a bi**h and just because I am singing to you in a cute outfit on stage and on your TV, does not make me a prostitute”.
The Kenyan beauty who is gearing up for the release of her debut studio album revealed that even though her enemies try to trample upon her, she still rises up to be best.
In recent times, the ‘Booty Bounce’ singer has been called out for being “too sexy” and not “African enough”.
