Ex-Super Eagles skipper, Joseph Yobo, is aiming to follow the exalted footsteps of George Weah into politics.
Weah, 51, a former World and African Footballer of the Year, is currently Liberia’s president.
Although Yobo didn’t claim any individual accolade, he hopes to emulate the Liberian’s path by delving into politics.
“When you look at George Weah and what he has done, it is a massive achievement,” the ex-Everton defender, who bagged 101 caps for Nigeria, was quoted by FootballLive on Wednesday.
“He tried and failed, went to school came back and ran for office as Senator and now he’s the President of Liberia.
“I’m open to running for office, but I have only just decided to not contest in 2019. I want to see how things go, but I am certainly not ruling out anything.”
