President of African Development Bank (AfDB), Akinwumi Adesina, says he is the perfect bridge between Nigeria and Niger.
The 60-year-old revealed in a tweet on Tuesday, after sharing a photograph of President Muhammadu Buhari and President Mahamadou Issoufou of Niger, that he had his master’s degree and PhD theses work in Niger in the 1980s.
The photograph was taken on the sidelines of the ongoing 33rd African Union Summit in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
Mr Adesina declared that he was, therefore, the perfect bridge between the two countries, thanking them for their continued support.
“Wonderful time with President of Nigeria @MBuhari and President of Niger @IssoufouMhm. I did my MSc and PhD theses work in Niger in the 1980s. So, I am a perfect bridge between Nigeria & Niger! Thanks your Excellencies for your excellent support always!🙏🏼💕” he said.
At the summit, Adesina co-chaired a special meeting on peace and economic security convened by Canada’s Prime Minister, Justin Trudeau.
