Dolapo Osinbajo, wife of the Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, on Thursday took to social media to cheer her husband up following his defeat at the presidential primary of the All Progressives Congress.
Osinbajo got 235 votes at the primary held at Eagle Square in Abuja. He came third behind former minister of transportation Rotimi Amaechi (316 votes) and the eventual winner Bola Tinubu (1,271 votes).
Mrs Osinbajo posted a photo of her husband on Instagram with words of praises in Yoruba to describe the Vice President.
She said, “Oluyemi. Oluleke. Omoluabi. Omo oko. Oninu ire. Oniwa Pele. Oniwa tutu. Ologbon. Olododo. Alaanu. I’m proud of you!”
Before the primary, Osinbajo was seen as the biggest threat to Tinubu’s presidential ambition. While some of Tinubu’s cronies stepped down from the presidential race to support Tinubu, Osinbajo went into the contest head-on.
On Thursday, the Vice President congratulated Tinubu hours before the latter paid him a surprise visit.
