Daniel Diongoli, better called Idyl, could not hide his emotions on Sunday after he was declared winner of The Voice Nigeria Season 2.
The 22-year-old protégé of fellow Bayelsa indigene, Timi Dakolo, declared after his victory: “It doesn’t matter where you are from. I’m proudly from the streets.
“You can be anything. Just believe in God and put in your hard work.”

Idyl defeated Ebube of #TeamPato to the second position.
Syemca and Wow of #TeamYemi and #TeamWaje came third and fourth respectively.
Idyl’s victory has earned him a recording contract with Universal Music Group, an SUV worth N7m and a trip to Abu Dhabi.
