Senator Dino Melaye on Wednesday urged his detractors to let him be, stating that he would die when it is time.
Melaye, who formerly represented Kogi West Senatorial District at the eighth assembly, stated this in reaction to critics who attack him for his flamboyant lifestyle.
“I’m the one that’s got to die when it’s time for me to die, so let me live my life the way I want to,” he wrote.
Melaye regularly posts photos of his mansion and luxury cars on Instagram, a similar attribute of the suspected international fraudster Ramon Abbas aka Hushpuppi.
In August, Melaye said there was never a time he told anyone not to post the photographs he took with Hushpuppi.
Hushpuppi is facing criminal charges in the United States for conspiracy to launder money allegedly obtained from business email compromise frauds and other scams.
