Actress Eniola Badmus has tearfully opened up about her struggle with childlessness, calling on fans to pray for her.
The 42-year-old shared her emotional plea on Thursday during a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) outreach tagged Feed the Needy, held at Temidire Primary School, Shogunle, Oshodi, Lagos.
The event was organised in collaboration with Seyi Tinubu.
Speaking to the crowd, Eniola revealed her deep desire to become a mother, urging attendees to remember her in their prayers.
Fighting back tears, she said, “Please continue to pray for me. Always mention me, Eniola Badmus, in your prayers. I am waiting upon the Lord for kids.
“Please pray for me. And more opportunities so I can serve you better. With your prayers and God by my side, I will continue to work together with you people to achieve a brighter and more prosperous tomorrow for many of our people.”
She also took a moment to honour her late father, Alhaji Badmus, who passed away seven years ago, requesting a minute of silence in his memory.
This public display of vulnerability is not the first time Eniola’s childlessness has been a subject of discussion.
The actress previously addressed her pain during a spat with colleague Laide Bakare, accusing her of making insensitive remarks about her inability to have children.
Laide, however, denied the allegations, stating, “I never called her childless. I simply suggested that she think about starting a family. It wasn’t meant to hurt her. Sometimes, my words are misunderstood, but my advice was genuine.”
