Fuji musician, Saheed Akorede Okunola, popularly known as Saheed Osupa, has called on organisers of the All Africa Music Awards (AFRIMA) to include his genre of music in their award categories
The 48-year-old made the call in a brief chat with QedTV at the grand finale of AFRIMA 2017 held in Lagos on Sunday.
“I don’t really expect much because I am supporting this anyhow they do it,” a disappointed Osupa began.
He continued: “But I told them to please include Fuji music the next time they are doing the award. It’s cool it’s nice, it’s a good platform to sell our music to the outside world.”
The singer gave a top-notch performance on Friday at the AFRIMA Music Village concert held at the Bar Beach Waterfront, Victoria Island, Lagos, alongside acts like Malaika, Sound Sultan and Oritsefemi among others.
