Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has commenced supplementary governorship election in 14 LGAs in Adamawa State.
The LGAs in question have a total of 40,988 registered voters.
INEC had on Tuesday said it would conduct the supplementary election on Thursday (today).
Polling units opened at 8am and are expected to close at 2pm.
There are 44 polling units in 29 registration areas of the 14 LGAs.
A Yola High Court had on Tuesday vacated an order restraining INEC from conducting the supplementary governorship election in 44 polling units in the state.
Governorship candidate of Movement for Restoration and Defence for Democracy (MRDD), Mustafa Shaba, had prayed the court to stop the election over the omission of his party’s logo on electoral materials used for governorship election on March 9.
