Instagram celebrity and brand influencer Adedamola Adewale, popularly known as Adeherself, has broken her silence following reports that her alleged lover Cute Abiola had taken a wife.
Cute Abiola, known for making comedy skits on Instagram, recently took a wife in Ogbomoso, Ibadan. Photos of the traditional ceremony have since gone viral.
It was rumoured that the comedian was only engaged to Adeherself six months ago.
But, reacting to the reports, Adeherself said in a post to Instastories on Friday that she and Cute Abiola were not in a romantic relationship.
According to the brand influencer, they were good friends and will still be friends even though he’s married.
She wrote: “Lol you guys should calm down now, I already said this before that @thecuteabiola and I never dated and we aren’t in a relationship neither an I engaged but because he was mute on it, people felt there was a relationship so you see.
“I and @thecuteabiola are good friends and still will be. Congratulations to you Bro. @thecuteabiola now people don see say our real bride price no be here o.”
Adeherself was arrested last year by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission for alleged fraud.
Facing a charge of possession of a fraudulent document, she was granted bail of N500,000 on July 15 by an Ikeja Special Offences Court.
Much has not been heard about the case since then.
