Watford forward, Isaac Success, is glad to end his two-year international wilderness against Libya.
Persistent injuries and a dip in form had kept the 22-year-old out of the Super Eagles set-up.
However, a remarkable upturn in fortune this term has seen the ex-Granada powerhouse earn a comeback to Gernot Rohr’s side.
“Well I’m glad to be back representing Nigeria after two years,” Success told Complete Sports ahead of Saturday’s Africa Cup of Nations qualifier.
“It’s good to see my friends as well. For me, I don’t think it’s my performance for Watford that earned me a recall back because I think we have other talented players in Europe even greater than me.
“For me, mistakes of two years ago are in the past and they have been corrected already. I’m back to shape better than before. I’m just here to do what I have to do, and we will see where we go from here.”
The 22-years-old is one of the four players returning to the squad for the crucial game against Libya.
Others are Moses Simon, Alex Iwobi, Shehu Abdullahi, and William Troost Ekong.
