Kamal Adebayo, actor and father of skitmaker Isbae U, was on Tuesday, December 27 buried according to Islamic rites hours after his death earlier in the day.
His son Ridwan Adebayo, popularly known as Isbae U, was one of the family members seen at the burial.
The skitmaker was seen raising his hands with his eyes closed as Quranic chapters were recited by his late father’s grave.
Also in attendance were Islamic clerics and some Nollywood stars.
Among the celebrities who mourned the death is Taiwo Hassan, popularly known as Ogogo, who wrote in an Instagram post “Good night Sir K. Words fail me. Truly Death is a debt we all owe.”
Actress Wumi Toriola wrote “This is a rude shock. Saw him last at an event. He was so full of life. This is really sad.”
She added that she was really pained, but concluded “who can question GOD?”
Chairman of the Lagos State Parks and Garages Management Committee Musiliu Akinsanya also had something to say about the actor’s death.
The man popularly called MC Oluomo said in an Instagram post “It is with a heavy heart that I announce the passing of Alhaji Kamal Adebayo (Sir Kay). May Allah grant him eternal peace. R.I.P SIR KAY.”
Sir K’s death is coming four months after his son Isbae U gifted him one million naira in celebration of his birthday in August.
The skitmaker posted a video on social media showing the moment he gave his dad the cash gift.
Captioning the post, Bae U wrote “Gifted my dad with 1 million cash to celebrate his birthday, love you dad (Sir K Kamoru).”
