Famous Islamic scholar Sheikh Muyideen Bello has been buried in his Akobo, Ibadan home in Oyo State.
Bello was buried on Friday after prayers were said.
The cleric died on Friday aged 84.
Among dignitaries who were present at his burial was Oyo State Deputy Governor Abdul-Raheem Lawal and other government officials.
Prior to his interment, a complete recitation of the Holy Qur’an was performed as a prayer for the deceased after the Jumu’ah prayer at the central mosque within the deceased’s residence.
Several Islamic clerics, political figures and representatives of traditional rulers earlier thronged the residence of the cleric to mourn.
