The Director-General of the Industrial Training Fund (ITF), Mr Joseph Ari, on Tuesday described former Head of State, Gen. Yakubu Gowon, as a patriotic Nigerian, as he celebrates his 85th Birthday.
Ari says Gowon is a Nigerian with purity of heart , selflessness and has love for service to the nation.

A statement signed by Mrs Suleyol Chagu, the Head, Public Affairs of ITF, also quoted Ari as wishing the former Nigerian Military Head of State good health, God’s guidance and protection as he celebrated his birthday on Oct. 19.
He said the ITF which was established by the then Gowon administration in 1971 had remained a critical factor in the progress of the country through developing its human capital with technical and vocational skills.
“We also assure you that as an organisation, we will continue to work assiduously and tirelessly to ensure that your vision of ITF as captured in our mandate is fully realised, ” the director-general said.
