Actor Kolawole Ajeyemi has paid tributes to actress Gbemi Anjola who died at the age of 33 after a battle with ovarian cancer.
The news of the fast-rising actress’s death has thrown the movie industry into mourning.
Gbemi was diagnosed with the ailment some time in 2021. The actress reportedly went to Dubai, UAE for chemotherapy for about six months and returned.
It was gathered that in the past one month, Gbemi complained of frequent headaches and loss of memory and was taken to the hospital where she died.
Mourning her via Instagram, Kolawole, who is the husband to actress Toyin Abraham, said everything in the world is vanity.
“I’ll keep saying it, nothing in this world is forever. We all work and struggle so hard on a life that can be taken at any time, it’s all vanity upon vanity. Good night Gbemi,” he wrote.
