Celebrity auto dealer Ikechukwu Ogbonna aka IVD has deleted all posts on his Instagram page and updated his Instagram display photo with a picture of his late wife, Bimbo Ogbonna, and his children.
IVD is accused of subjecting his wife to domestic violence. He is also alleged to be responsible for her death following a fire incident at their Lekki, Lagos home.
Since the news of his wife’s death on Saturday, IVD has gained no less than 25,000 followers on Instagram.
On Saturday morning, he had 441,000 followers, as of 7pm on Monday he had 466,000 Instagram users following him.
Mrs Ogbonna’s sister had alleged that IVD pushed his wife into the fire and watched her burn. The couple has five children.
In one of the videos IVD posted over the weekend to Instagram, he said his wife had made the children start disrespecting him.
On Monday, IVD’s in-laws said in a statement that the businessman is on the run.
“The perpetrator of this dastardly act, her husband of 16 years, Ikenna Darryl Ogbonna, an auto dealer widely known as IVD, is currently on the run, hoping to evade justice. We know that it won’t be forever,” the statement said.
The family noted that they tried severally to rescue her from the marriage.
