Actress Kemi Afolabi says she has chosen to prioritise her peace over other things, including her illness.
The ailing actress said this in an Instagram post on Thursday, using the hashtag #warriorKemiAfolabi.
“I choose to prioritise my peace amongst other things I might be going through for now. #warriorKEMIAFOLABI,” she wrote.
In an interview with media personality Chude Jideonwo, Kemi revealed that she was diagnosed with lupus and her doctor said she has only five years to live.
Speaking on the illness, the 43-year-old said: “I have lupus. It’s not curable. You just have to take medications for the rest of your life. At a point I was exhausted after spending so much, I said I will stop and just wait for death to come ….but I brazed up for my daughter and have to continue spending the N1.2million on the medication doze weekly to survive.”
Several of her colleagues and friends have supported the actress financially.
