I’ve dated seven Nigerian celebrities – Bobrisky

Controversial cross-dresser Idris Okuneye, popularly known as Bobrisky, has claimed that he has been in romantic relationships with seven Nigerian celebrities.

In a video shared on Snapchat, Bobrisky alleged that he had intimate encounters with these public figures, stating that he would eventually expose them.

“The time is coming when I will list seven celebrities I have dated in Nigeria. The time is coming when I will expose fake people in that country,” he declared.

He also addressed the backlash he faced from some Nigerian celebrities and politicians during his legal troubles with the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

“I never knew I was so special until last year when ministers and senators started discussing me. Imagine a minister leaving work to focus on Bobrisky. Am I that important?

“If I lived in Nigeria for 100 years, they would never put ‘female’ on my passport or driver’s license. But here, I’m respected for who I am,” he added.

Before leaving Nigeria, Bobrisky was embroiled in multiple controversies.

In April 2024, he was arrested by the EFCC for defacing naira banknotes after videos surfaced of him spraying money at a film premiere.

He pleaded guilty to four counts of naira abuse and was sentenced to six months in prison without an option of a fine. He was released in August 2024.

Following his release, social media critic Martins Ortse popularly known as VeryDarkMan leaked a voice recording where Bobrisky allegedly claimed he was never in prison, sparking fresh controversy.

In October 2024, Bobrisky was arrested twice while attempting to leave Nigeria.

The Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) first intercepted him at the Seme border during an alleged escape attempt. Later, the EFCC detained him at Lagos’s Murtala Muhammed International Airport while he was trying to board an Amsterdam-bound KLM flight.

In November 2024, Bobrisky finally confirmed his temporary departure from Nigeria, stating that he needed to prioritise his “sanity and health.”
