Presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Bola Tinubu on Tuesday boasted about his electoral prowess.
“I’ve never failed an election before,” he said at a rally held in Ekiti ahead of the state’s governorship election on June 18.
Biodun Oyebanji is the party’s governorship candidate.
Tinubu, who also spoke in Yoruba language said, “To ba t’eka, o le te owo” meaning, “if you don’t vote, you can’t hold money.”
The presidential candidate described the opposition Peoples Democratic Party as a “poverty development party”.
Outgoing governor of Ekiti Kayode Fayemi had dropped his presidential ambition at the last minute to support Tinubu.
Tinubu drew criticism during a recent visit to Ogun State where he boasted that without his help President Muhammadu Buhari would not have been elected president in 2015.
