Super Eagles youngster, Alex Iwobi, has joined the long queue of injured players at Arsenal.
The 19-year-old forward will be sidelined for at least a month after suffering a hip injury in the Gunners crushing 4-3 defeat to Liverpool on Sunday.
Apart from the Nigerian, Arsene Wenger’s team also lost Wales midfielder, Aaron Ramsey, in the disappointing defeat to the Reds.
Iwobi is expected to miss Arsenal’s next two games, at Leicester and Watford before a two-week international break and be fit to return for the home clash against Southampton on September 10.
Ramsey is also due back for the same game as he too is facing a month out with the hamstring injury picked up against Liverpool.
Defenders Per Mertesacker and Gabriel Paulista both picked up problems in pre-season that will keep them out for five and two months respectively.
The likes of Danny Welbeck, Jack Wilshere and Carl Jenkinson are long-term absentees.
