Super Eagles youngster, Alex Iwobi, has squashed reports circulating in the media that he’s out injured.
The speculation intensified on Monday evening after the 20-year-old posted a picture of his bandaged right foot following Arsenal’s 2-0 win over Sutton United in the FA Cup.
Consequently, many Nigerians expressed fears that the attacking midfielder will be ruled out of next month’s double friendly games against Burkina Faso and Senegal.
However, Iwobi has revealed that he’s fit and not injured.
“Alex Iwobi is injured? Lool he is not,” the youngster clarified on a Snapchat post on Wednesday.
This will come as good news for Eagles coach, Gernot Rohr, as he intensifies preparations for both the Africa Cup of Nations and World Cup qualifiers.
Iwobi has been a regular for Nigeria since making his competitive debut against the Pharaohs of Egypt last year in an AFCON qualifier.
He will be expected to make his 34th appearance of the season for the Gunners when they visit Liverpool on March 4.
