Super Eagles star, Alex Iwobi, is Arsenal’s sixth most expensive player in the transfer market according to a report by CIES Football Observatory.
Only Alexandre Lacazette, Granit Xhaka, Hector Bellerin, Alexis Sanchez and Shkodran Mustafi cost more than the Nigerian at the moment.
At a cost of €99.2m, Frenchman Lacazette is the most expensive player at Emirates, followed by Xhaka (€69.2m) and Hector Bellerin (€66.8m), while Iwobi is valued at €31.5m.
What this means is that the 21-year-old is placed above the likes of Mesut Ozil (€30.3m), Aaron Ramsey (€15m), Theo Walcott (€15.6m), Danny Welbeck (€13.7m) and Jack Wilshere (€5m).
Arsenal, meanwhile, are reportedly planning to tie the Nigerian to a new deal.
Iwobi still has another three years left on his current deal at the end of the campaign.
However, the club’s top brass are supposedly keen to reward the attacker for forcing his way into Arsene Wenger’s first-team plans this season with a bumper new contract.
