Nigeria international Alex Iwobi on Saturday posted to social media a video he shot with a pangolin to promote wildlife in Nigeria and Africa.
The Everton midfielder said he had fun shooting the video. In it, he is seen taking on the wild animal in a football training session.
Iwobi, whose post comes a day before the 2021 AFCON kicks off in Cameroon, admonished the public to report all cases of wildlife violation to authorities.
He said, “There’s Only One Day Left Until We Begin The Battle To Be Kings Of Africa In This Year’s AFCON, But There’s Another Battle Just As Big.
“I’m Supporting @WildAid’s Mission To Protect Wild Life In Nigeria And Across The Continent From Illegal Trade.”
Iwobi, 25, is part of the Nigerian team that will be hoping to be crowned champions of Africa in Cameroon.
