Super Eagles forward Alex Iwobi came on as an early sub to help Everton beat Brighton & Hove Albion at Goodison Park on Saturday.
The 24-year-old came on for injured Richarlison in the 26th minute with his club leading by a goal scored by Dominic Calvert-Lewin in the 16th minute.
Neal Maupay equalised for Brighton in the 41st minute but Carlo Ancelotti’s men went ahead again in first-half added time though Yerry Minna.
Two second-half goals from the in-form James Rodríguez saw Everton race to a 4-1 lead before Yves Bissouma struck for Brighton in added time to end the game at 4-2.
Iwobi is still looking for his first Premier League start of the season.
He impressed off the bench on Wednesday as Everton beat West Ham 4-1 in the Carabao Cup round of 16.
