Alex Iwobi was on the scoresheet on Saturday when Arsenal trounced Crystal Palace 4-1.
The Gunners ended a tough run of three games without a win in scintillating fashion at the Emirates.
Most of the news about the Gunners in the days leading up to this win was about players who were not to feature at Emirates Stadium.
Alexis Sanchez was omitted from the squad once again, with his move to Manchester United seemingly inching towards completion.
But it was an unlikely player who started it all for Arsene Wenger’s team.
Nacho Monreal finished off a superb pass from Granit Xhaka after just five minutes.
Then the floodgates of goals opened.
Arsenal was three up inside 13 minutes through Iwobi and Laurent Koscielny.
Alexandre Lacazette then rounded off a brilliant move to make it 4-0 after 22 minutes.
Luka Milivojevic scored late on, but Palace slips to 13th on the table.
Iwobi’s has now scored twice this season and laced the same figure in 11 league starts.
Despite the win, Arsenal remains sixth, two points behind Tottenham.
