Actress Iyabo Ojo on Sunday celebrated her mother’s 1st death anniversary with an emotional note on social media.
The mother of two uploaded series of her photos showing off her outfits for the memorial celebration and a Tik Tok video of her late mum on Instagram.
In a message to the deceased, the actress said she feels her mother’s presence every day in the past 365 years. She also said that the woman was here for her ordeals, loneliness and tough times.
“Oh mummy! To say I haven’t felt your presence everyday in the past 365 days would be an untruth. Through the ordeals, the loneliness, the downtimes, mama, you have been there. From you, I drew strength to proceed.
“I miss you and I know you have to be up there protecting and cheering me on through the tides of life. I couldn’t ask for a purer Angel. I love you mama even in death, ” she wrote.
Iyabo has been using the hashtag #VOF2021 to promote her mother’s first remembrance and final burial ceremony.
Iyabo had announced in January 2021 that she was going to throw a big party for her mum on her one-year remembrance.
She announced the death of her Victoria Olubnunmi Fetuga in November 2020.
