Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo has launched a series of attacks on male colleague Yomi Fabiyi over what is generally regarded as his disgraceful support for comedian Baba Ijesha, who is accused of sexually assaulting a 14-year-old girl.
The actress’ action comes on the day comedienne Princess confirmed that the victim is one of six children kept in her care because she could not have a child of her own.
Yomi is leading a campaign that the CCTV recording said to have been made of Baba Ijesha assaulting the girl should be made public.
Iyabo thinks the suggestion is irresponsible and made her position known in two videos she uploaded to Instagram on Wednesday.
According to the 43-year-old, Yomi’s bizarre campaign for Baba Ijesha has misled others including Foluke Daramola to show tacit support for an accused rapist.
Iyabo had in a video uploaded to Instagram on Sunday tackled her colleagues defending Baba Ijesha and urged them to stop.
Without mentioning names, she captioned the post: “Please let’s be mindful in my industry. This is a very sensitive issue and we should all remember that a 14-year-old child is involved. She is watching the Internet. If you can’t support or help her don’t hurt her the more. Thank You.”
