Actress Iyabo Ojo on Sunday paid a surprise visit to singer Alabi Pasuma to commiserate with him over his mother Adijat Kuburat’s death.
The 45-year-old shared the video of the visit on Instagram.
Mrs Kuburat aka Iyawo Anobi was buried on Friday, April 7. She was laid to rest after funeral prayers.
Narrating how her visit went, Iyabo said, “Yesterday I also went to pay a condolence visit to my dear friend Alhaji Pasuma and I surprised him because I didn’t tell him I was coming. He wasn’t expecting to see me. But I needed to give him that hug. It is well, I know, I understand the pain. Mama is now an angel, I know that she is watching over him and all her grandchildren so I know he’s going to be okay.”
Iyabo met several actors including Jigan Baba Oja at Pasuma’s residence and exchanged pleasantries with them.
She also signed the condolence register and prayed that the soul of the deceased would find rest.
“Tell my mama I miss her and love her,” she added.
Iyabo lost her own mother Victoria Fetuga in November 2020.
In her caption for the video, the actress wrote, “@officialpasuma may Allah grant you the fortitude to bear the irreplaceable loss my dear friend 🙏🏾, May her beautiful soul continue to rest in perfect peace 🤍🕊️ stay strong padi mi.”
Earlier on Sunday, Iyabo attended a surprise birthday dinner for her daughter Priscilla who turned 22 last month. It was organised by her daughter’s friend Enioluwa.
