A suicide note allegedly written by Kalu AB, the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) personnel accused of killing his lover and colleague has emerged online.
The note is believed to have been written shortly before the military man shot and killed Solape Oladipupo whom he accused of dating other men at the Air Force Base in Makurdi, Benue State.
In the expletives-ridden piece, Kalu described himself as a simple guy who fell in love with the wrong person.
Accusing the deceased of deceiving him and his mother, the unbalanced young man wrote that he was going to kill himself after shooting his lover also known as Shomzy Shomzy.
Mindful of the likely reaction to his plan, he wrote: “Most idiot would insult me,” but insisted others would have done likewise.
The suicide bit of his plot never happened as he was arrested after the crime and his in military detention.
Describing the tragic incident, NAF Director of Public Relations and Information, Group Captain Ayodele Famuyiwa, said: “An airman and an airwoman were involved. They had a love relationship which resulted in the shooting. We do not yet know what transpired between them.
“She was initially rushed to NAF hospital, but when it was beyond their control, she was transferred to the state hospital where she died. The body has been recovered to our base now.
“The boy (Kalu) has been arrested. He did not die. The post on the social media is mere speculation. He is alive and in custody. Investigations are ongoing into the incident. We will unravel the circumstances that led to the incident.”
