Actor, Jerry Amilo, on Sunday, June 5, joined the members of the Synagogue Church of All Nations (SCOAN) in celebrating the one-year death anniversary of prophet TB Joshua.
The actor, who attended the memorial service, alongside actress Rita Edochie and controversial preacher Prophet Chukwuemeka Odumeje, went live on Instagram to share moments from the event.
In the video, the actor could be seen rejoicing with others who came to pay their respect to the late televangelist.
Captioning the video, he wrote: “Much love & supper fun as we celebrate 1-year anniversary remembrance of late Prophet TB. Joshua at the Synagogue Church of all Nations aka. Emmanuel blessed up weekend wishes to all the super blessed peeps.”
In the video she posted, Rita Edochie is seen trying to hold back her tears as the choir sang in honour of the late SCOAN leader.
In the video, she said: “Alot of people are actually crying, I’m holding myself not to cry, but he is gone, he is gone, he is gone to be with our lord Jesus Christ. The lord’s general, they are not plenty in the world.
“All the lord’s general, they don’t last, they don’t stay long. Once they come and do what they are supposed to do, they are gone. Senior prophet TB Joshua, he is gone, God’s general, he is gone. May he keep resting in the lord.”
Joshua died on Saturday, June 5, 2021 after attending a church programme, exactly a week to his 58th birthday. He was buried inside his church on July 9.
The one-week funeral was watched by millions of people around the world via SCOAN’s Emmanuel TV.
The disciples and former senior members of the late mentor who could not attend the memorial service paid tributes to Joshua via their social media pages.
Prophetesses Yinka and Anne also went on a charity drive at an undisclosed location in Lagos. They distributed bags of rice and cash to indigent and disable people.
