Veteran actor Jide Kosoko has penned down a heartfelt message to his daughter, actress Bidemi Kosoko on the latter’s 36th birthday.
The proud father posted a photo of the actress on Instagram on Thursday, adding that Bidemi has always been his source of joy.
Jide Kosoko who recounted the birth of his daughter in 1986, said he was receiving an award from the Yoruba community in UK when the MC of the event broke the news of his daughter’s birth.
Prayers and dancing soon followed as they rejoiced over the birth of Bidemi.
He wrote: “Congratulations and jubilation in my family as my baby @bidemi_kosoko turned 36 years today. Happybirthday Abidek, omowunmi, wa dagba, wa dogbo ninu ola ati alafia. You have always been my source of joy. I remembered on 21/10/1986 as I received an award from Yoruba Community in Brixton UK and the mc breaked the news, announcing your birth in Nigeria.
“We all prayed and dance, celebrating your birth. Olorun a wo e, a wo oko ati awon omo e. You are a true actor, I am proud of you.
Reacting in the comment section of the post, an excited Bidemi appreciated her father, promising to keep making him proud.
She wrote: “Bestest dad. I promise to keep making you proud daddy, love you so much.”
Fellow celebrities and fans wished the celebrant a happy birthday in the comment section of the post.
Jide Kosoko’s other children include actress Shola Kosoko, Temilade, Tunji, Muyiwa and Tunde.
