Police in Ondo have arrested a jilted lover, Deji Adenuga, who allegedly set ablaze the family house of his estranged lover, Titi Sarumi, killing eight persons.
Ondo police spokesperson, Femi Joseph, confirmed the arrest on Monday.
The incident occurred two weeks ago in Igbodigo, Okitipupa local government area of Ondo State.
Mr Adenuga was said to have taken to his heels after setting the house on Adetuwo Street on fire at about 2 am that fateful day.
Reports say he was apprehended following a tip-off.
Five members of the family died in the inferno while three others died in the hospital.
