Actor and filmmaker Femi Adebayo has revealed that renowned storyteller, actor and poet Jimi Solanke is the voice behind the narration in his hit film Jagun Jagun.
The 45-year-old disclosed this in an Instagram post on Tuesday while playing tribute to Solanke who died on Monday on his way to the hospital.
Femi who posted a clip from the film, said Solanke’s voice breathes life into each moment, leaving unforgettable memories in our hearts.
He wrote: “My heartfelt sympathy goes out to the family of the legendary voice actor and storyteller – Jimi Solanke. The mesmerizing tale of “Jagun Jagun” was narrated by Jimi Solanke.
“His profound voice breathes life into each moment, leaving unforgettable memories in our hearts. May fond memories and solace bring us comfort during this difficult time. I extend my condolences to his family and everyone affected by his passing.”
The storyteller, who is also known as Baba Agba was born in Ipara Remo, Ogun State.
Veteran storyteller Jimi Solanke is dead
He began his career as a pioneer member of the Orisun Theatre Group founded by playwright Wole Soyinka in 1961.
He was 81 years old.
