The Jama’atu Nasril Islam (JNI) extends its warmest felicitations to the Nigerian Muslim community and the world on completing the 2025 Ramadan fast and observing Eid-el-Fitr.
This is contained in a statement on Monday in Kaduna by JNI Secretary-General, Prof. Khalid Aliyu.
Aliyu said, “May this joyous occasion bring happiness, reflection, stability, peace, and blessings to all Muslims, our families and loved ones.
“May Allah, the Most High, accept our fasting, forgive our shortcomings, and grant us the rewards of our supplications and good deeds during Ramadan.”
He prayed for Allah’s continued grace in the coming days and months.
Aliyu urged Muslims to sustain the virtues of Ramadan by maintaining their spiritual routine beyond the holy month.
He emphasised that these virtues should not cease with the end of Ramadan.
He also reminded Muslims to observe the six days of fasting after Ramadan, as recommended by Prophet Muhammad.
“We must always remember that the Lord of Ramadan remains the Lord of all months. We should be conscious of Him at all times,” he said.
He encouraged continuous learning, stating that the spirit of seeking knowledge during Ramadan should persist beyond the holy month.
Aliyu noted that the Sultan of Sokoto appreciates the Kano State Government and security agencies for preventing reprisal attacks in Kano State.
He also acknowledged the Kano Emirate for canceling its durbar to prevent any possible exploitation of the event.
Regarding Edo State, Aliyu appreciated the government’s actions following the murder of 16 Uromi victims.
“We strongly call on the Federal Government and the Edo State Government to pay blood money (Diyya) to the bereaved families,” he stated.
He said this would ensure equity and social justice and prevent further discontent.
JNI wishes all Muslims an accepted Ramadan fast and a joyous Eid-el-Fitr celebration.
