Taiwo and Kehinde Odumakin, twin children of the late spokesperson of the Yoruba socio-cultural group Afenifere Yinka Odumakin, have clocked one.
The children, who were born in the United States on October 27, 2021, clocked one on Thursday.
Odumakin’s widow, Joe Okei-Odumakin, celebrated the children on social media with a video capturing beautiful moments in their lives.
She wrote, “Taiye and Kehinde Are One!! We rejoice in Him and are filled with gratitude to God as our twin celebrate one year on earth.
“As the strides into destiny fulfillment start, we pray the lines fall for you in pleasant places. Let the years count into greatness. Amen.”
Okei-Odumakin, 56, also posted photos of the children’s first day in Nigeria on April 9, 2022. In one of the photos, the serving overseer of The Citadel Global Community Church in Lagos, Pastor Tunde Bakare, and wife are seen holding them.
Okei-Odumakin also posted photos of the children with their uncles and aunts.
In the video posted by Joe, her late father-in-law Elder Ezekiel Odumakin and his wife are seen holding the twins.
Elder Odumakin died at the age of 116 in August 2022.
According to Okei-Odumakin, her father-in-law, until his death, was the Baba Ijo of C.A.C. Moro land in Osun State.
Okei-Odumakin and her late husband got married in 1997. They had their first baby girl in 2000 and the second, a boy, in 2003. While the girl was named after Joe, the boy was named Abraham after the late Afenifere leader, Pa Abraham Adesanya.
Odumakin died on April 3, 2021, months before the birth of the twins.
