Singer Joesph Afinfenwa-Donus popularly known as Joeboy has hit 100 million streams on Boomplay with his new single ‘Alcohol’.
Boomplay made the announcement in a Twitter post on Monday.
“#Goldenclub certified young legend, Joeboy bags 100,00,000 million total streams on Boomplay, Big congratulations,” the post read.
The single started trending on social media after Tik Tok users created videos with the songs to display actions inspired by the lyrics.
Some celebrities have also joined the challenge.
Joeboy was signed into Mr Eazi’s record label Empawa Africa in 2017.
He released his EP titled Love and Light in 2019 which comprises ‘Baby’, ‘Beginning’, ‘Don’t Call Me Back’, ‘All For You’ and ‘Blessings’.
