R&B singer, John Legend, and supermodel wife, Chrissy Teigen, are expecting their first child together after two years of marriage.
Teigen announced this on her Instagram page on October 12.
The 29-year-old swimsuit model has been very vocal in the last year about her interest in wanting children. Just recently, while at the 2015 Television Critics Association summer press tour, where she was promoting her upcoming show FABLife alongside Tyra Banks, Chrissy explained that she is ready to settle down.
“I am aging. I love bouncing around. I love going on tour with John, we have considered ourselves bi-coastal for 10 years now. It is definitely weird and different to have a home now, I am ready to have a family and call Los Angeles my home,” she said.
She also commented on their fertility troubles: “We would have had kids five, six years ago if it had happened, it has been a process. We have seen fertility doctors.”
Teigen and Legend first met on the set of his 2007 music video for ‘Stereo’. After four years of dating, they became engaged in December 2011.
The couple tied the knot at a New York City courthouse, USA before jetting off to Lake Como, Italy, in September 2013 for a lavish wedding ceremony.
