Chelsea legend, John Terry, could be heading to West Bromwich Albion, the former club of four ex-Super Eagles strikers.
The Nigerian internationals who have kitted for the club are Nwankwo Kanu, Osaze Odemwingie, Brown Ideye and Victor Anichebe.
According to Sky Sports, the Baggies have begun talks to sign the ex-England and Chelsea skipper, who is bent on continuing his career in England.
Terry, who was a peripheral figure in the Blues’ title winning season insists “Every ex-player says the same – play as long as you can and treasure every minute. I want to play.”
The 36-year-old, who spent almost two decades at Stamford Bridge, is also on the wish-list of Aston Villa.
But it appears the ex-Nottingham Forest loanee will fancy a move to a Premier League team.
Should he eventually move to the Hawthorns, then he will join an elite company of stars, including four Nigerians, to have kitted for the Baggies.
Kanu was the first to feature for the West Midland side between 2004 and 2006, but it was Osaze who made the most impact, scoring 30 goals in just three years at the club.
However, it wasn’t the same story for Ideye, who landed at the Hawthorns as the club’s record signing but ultimately failed to hit the ground running.
Similarly, Anichebe didn’t do any better as his three seasons were severely plagued by persistent injury.
