Actress Joke Silva has threatened to take legal actions against bloggers spreading death rumours about her husband veteran actor Olu Jacobs.
The 60-year-old old made this known in a statement shared on Instagram on Monday while debunking the rumour.
The statement read: “Good day everyone, trust all is going well. The Jacob clan would love to inform you that Pa J (Olu Jacobs MFR) is alive and enjoying himself as always in the comfort of his home and loved ones. To all those that have decided to ignore our last warnings regarding fake new, kindly prepare for legal action.”
In October 2021, Joke shut down rumours of her husband’s death after the fake news circulated on the internet.
“Don’t mind them, they’re just talking rubbish; don’t disturb your head. He is in the living room right now about to have Eba and Ogbono soup. Let them keep deceiving themselves. He is hale and hearty.” she told The Punch.
Olu Jacobs was also rumoured dead in 2020.
Actress Lala Akindoju who is quite close to the veteran and his wife, however, debunked the rumour in a Twitter post saying that she spoke with the 80-year-old and he was “alive and well”
A star of several film, TV and theatre productions, Olu Jacobs has been off the acting scene for a while due to age.
