Supporters of former President Goodluck Jonathan on Friday stormed his office in Abuja, calling on him to join the 2023 presidency.

They lamented that hunger, insecurity and unemployment, among others, have become the order of the day since he left office.

Mr Jonathan went into a meeting with leaders of the groups which comprise women and youths.

Speaking after the meeting, the ex-President said he could not tell if he would be contesting again.

Jonathan lost in 2015 when he sought a full term after taking over the Presidency following the death of President Umaru Yar’Adua.

“You are calling me to come and declare for the next election. I cannot tell you I’m declaring. The political process is ongoing, just watch out,” Jonathan told his supporters.

“The key role you must play is to pray that Nigeria gets somebody that carries the young people along; somebody that can also work very hard to see that some of the problems are addressed by the government and I believe collectively, we will work together.”
