Former President Goodluck Jonathan, former vice-presidential candidate Peter Obi and Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde were on Friday among guests at the wedding dinner of Hauwa Mohammed and her husband Mohammed Adamu.
Hauwa is the daughter of Bauchi State Governor Bala Mohammed (PDP) while her husband is the son of the emir of Azara in Nasarawa State, Lawal Adamu.
Also among guests was the Peoples Democratic Party national chairman Uche Secondus.
In an Instagram post on Saturday, Mr Makinde said he was honoured to be the father of the day at the wedding dinner, revealing that the bride was his goddaughter.
“I rejoice with my brother, His Excellency Bala Mohammed’s family, and wish Hauwa and Mohammed peace and joy in their marriage,” he added.
The wedding Fatiha had held earlier. Deputy chief imam of Bauchi Ahmed Naibi presided over it at Ramat House where the emir of Azara served as representative of the groom while the district head of Duguri Ibrahim Baba served as representative of the bride.
