Former Super Eagles captain, Joseph Yobo, was not physically present as his daughter, Lexine, clocked two years on Wednesday.
The 38-year-old is away in South Africa as a Supersport analyst for the UEFA Champions League.
Before leaving Nigeria, the former Everton defender recorded a video with the little girl which he posted on Instagram.
“Happy birthday to my princess. Sad I won’t be around for her celebration today but made sure we had our little moment before I left home,” he tagged a video of the two.
In Yobo’s absence, his wife and former beauty queen, Adaeze, posted pictures with the birthday girl on social media.
“You make my life so beautiful. I wish the best in this world for you. I love you,” the 2008 Most Beautiful Girl in Nigeria (MBGN) pageant winner wrote.
Joseph and Adaeze Yobo got married in Jos, Plateau State in 2010.
They have three children together.
Lexine is their only girl and last child.
