Founder of Champions Royal Assembly, a megachurch in Abuja, Prophet Joshua Iginla has reacted to the attack on his colleague, Apostle Johnson Suleman’s convoy on Friday, October 21 along Benin-Auchi road in Edo State.
Six persons – three police orderlies, Suleman’s two drivers, and a domestic worker, were killed during the attack on the president of the Omega Fire Ministries.
In a video uploaded on social media on October 24, Iginla expressed his condolence over the lives lost during the attack. He said, “Last week, an unfortunate event happened to one of our brothers in Christ, Apostle Johnson Suleman of Omega Fire church and it was a sad event. I gave him a call on Friday and he narrated all that happened. I want to say our heart goes to the families of the policemen, ministry members who lost their lives in the sad event.”
Speaking further, the cleric condemned the act as a barbaric one.
He said, “There was an attempt on the life of the man of God and it was a narrow escape through the help of God. I know people will say what they want to say. If you say bulletproof, car proof or whatever proof, there are people who have used bulletproof and have been apprehended.
“The act of trying to take someone’s life no matter the reason is barbaric, it is satanic, demonic, it is condemnable, not even talk about a man of God. I want to register my voice by saying this act is condemnable, it is barbaric and satanic.”
Iginla concluded by pleading to the public to stop attacking clergymen.
