Adeola Aderuonmmu, brother of the late actress Jumoke Aderounmu, has reacted to Funke Akindele’s claim that she was not aware of her sister’s illness.
Jumoke, popularly known for her role as Esther in Funke’s Jenifa’s Diary, passed away on April 6 after a brief illness.
Funke also shared her condolences and mourned the deceased in an Instagram post on Monday but Adeola Aderounmu, brother of the late actress, dragged the filmmaker, calling her a “hypocrite”.
According to him, when Jumoke was sick, she reached out to Funke several times but the Omo Ghetto star did not get back to her.
However, speaking in an Instagram live session on Tuesday, Funke said she recently reached out to her colleague Jide Awobana to ask after Jumoke before the latter’s passing.
The mother of two also stated that she sent a message to Jumoke’s brother after seeing his post but the latter ignored her.
Reacting in an Instagram story, Adeola berated Funke for reaching out to Jide instead of calling Jumoke herself, adding that the filmmaker only sent a message to him because Jumoke died.
He wrote: “You reached out when person don kpai and you expect me to reply? Are you saying you don’t have Jumoke’s number? So na Jide help you dey call am before? Cos you dey act give us for live video. Na actress you be ma you no fit dey whine us. Just change towards people around you, do better.”
