Boy with missing intestine dies at LASUTH

Babajide Sanwo-Olu visits Adebola Akin-Bright boy with missing intestine at LASUTH

Adebola Akin-Bright, the 12-year-old boy whose intestine allegedly went missing at the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH), has died.

He died at the hospital on Tuesday evening after developing complications at home which led to him being rushed to the intensive care unit where he was pronounced dead.

Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu on Sunday, September 3 paid a surprise visit to LASUTH to meet with the boy whose mother Debola Abiodun had demanded a probe into the disappearance of her son’s small intestines.

The hospital management, however, refuted the allegation.

“After listening to Debola’s mum and the medical officers in charge of his care, I gave him my word that I would not only take over his medical care and expenses, I would also ensure that everything is done to get him better, and back at home with his loved ones,” Mr Sanwo-Olu said after the visit.
